Map My Customers has 6 standard Activity Types:
- Visit
- Call
- Meeting
- Lunch
- Task
These can capture a variety of activities that you and your team do. This allows you to track what type of activity is most effective and what kind of work is being done. You can add your own custom types to further categorize the work you do.
To add an Activity Type:
- Go to the Settings Page by clicking the gear symbol in the upper right corner
- Navigate to “Activity Types” in the menu on the left
- Provide a name for your new Activity Type and hit “create” to add this custom Activity Type to the list
To edit or delete a Custom Activity:
- Go to the Settings Page by clicking the gear symbol in the upper right corner
- Navigate to “Activity Types” in the menu on the left and identify the Activity Type you would like to Edit or Delete
- To reorder the Activity Types, drag and drop the activity types to the desired order
- To edit the name, click the free text box of the name you would like to edit
- To delete, click the red “delete” button the right of the Activity Type you would like to remove
Note: Default Activity types cannot be edited, deleted, or deactivated.
Activity Types can also be set up on the mobile application.
To add an Activity Type on Mobile:
- Open the Settings Screen by tapping the Gear Icon
- Tap "Activity Types"
- Tap “+ Activity Type”
- Fill in your Custom Activity Type Name
- Tap "Save"
To edit a Custom Activity on Mobile:
- Open the Settings Screen by tapping the Gear Icon
- Tap "Activity Types"
- Tap the desired Activity Type
- Rename Custom Activity Type
- Tap "Save"
