The Deal Edit view is the most comprehensive way to modify or add details to a Deal record. This view is accessible via the “Edit Deal” button at the bottom of Quick View.
To access Edit view directly, you can click on the name of the Deal on any list row or Deal card.
At the top of Edit Deal, you’ll find the critical information for the deal which you can modify by clicking into the fields themselves.
- Record Name
- Deal Loss Reasons and Comments (if Closed Lost)
Tip: Don’t forget to click “Save Changes” when modifying a deal
Below the top section, you’ll find the rest of the information is split into four main sections:
- Notes & Files
Details include all standard deal fields (Owner, Amount, and Close Date) as well as any custom fields you may have on the account.
Relationships are where you can manage how the Deal is associated with other Map My Customers records like Companies and People.
In the Activities section, you will see a historic record of all Activities logged on a given Deal and perform the following actions:
- Search for an activity
- Sort activities by status (Overdue, Upcoming, Completed)
- Add or edit an activity

The final section of Notes & Files is where you can view, log and edit notes attached to the Deal, as well as add files. Most images, pdfs, documents and more are supported up to 250 MB.
